Purchasing Mistake 1 - Thoughtless Delegation

Sometimes, the head of a company, whether the chairman or managing director, will delegate not only the investigation, but also the detailed implementation methods of optimisation software.  This is sometimes because they do not see the huge importance of optimisation and sometimes because they are afraid of exposing their limited knowledge of IT, or even of exposing their scant experience of glass production.  This usually happens when they have come from a marketing, sales, or accountancy background.

For such an important decision, the head of a company should be involved in the alternative solutions offered by different suppliers, and then make a balanced decision about the final choice, which we then think will be Trimloss.

This purchasing mistake becomes increasingly more common, the larger the company and is almost always made when administrators are appointed to try to save an ailing sealed unit manufacturer.
